What are the hours like when working on wall street?

I started getting to know a guy that works there, and I don't know much about it..BUT he works weekends to meet deadlines and often says he's too burnt out to hang out. He works in financial services and does something with regulating stock broker deals. He says he likes me, but a few friends say he may be stalling.

If anyone works on wall street, can you let me know if it can sabotage your social/dating life? Is what he's saying accurate and true for people who work in that industry?

ibankers will work 80 hours and up. regulation may be less... you should be more specific with his job function and seniority because not every job is the same, of course. but yes, it's very likely he has no time for fun!
