Should you report the people who use a space saver to answer a question ?
The reason why I ask is that I reported someone who answered a question (a top contributor nonetheless), but only had a . as an answer. I answered the question, and went to start dinner. I came back about ten minutes later and the person had edited the . to an answer.
Yes, you should report people who are doing that, no matter if they are a TC or not. It's called place-holding, where they type something little like "edit" or "brb", etc... to save a top place while they go look up the answer. Yahoo does regard this as a violation. Sometimes they copy an answer given below theirs, then it looks like they were the first to give the answer. Yahoo is able to see the edits to the answers, and can tell that someone posted just a . as an answer.
