Triple Threat Mounting system
Would I get better performance from a fenderwell mount intake system?
I have been looking at cold air intake systems and narrowed it down to BBK or K&N. The K&N the air filter sits inside the engine compartment where as in the BBK the air filter is actually in the fenderwell. the K&N has rubber and plastic tubing while the BBK is metal or aluminum or something. The K&N is also about $50 more expensive. Maybe I am stupid but I would figure the bbk would give me better performance just for where the air filter is placed. help?
No one cares chuck. You should try shutting up more.
if you're not driving in the rain or in bad weather, the fender mounted unit works great. if the wearther is something you neeed to worry about,k&n is a better, dynoed and tested system with proven performance gains. i use k&n in all my cars . never had a roblem and they run great. the "cold air " fender intake will help but, the weather needs to be your cncern. you dont want be sucking water or road junk into the filter or the engine.
