What is the better HDTV television(not plasma)& size, we also need to know the best place to buy?online/store?
We would like to fill the opening in our entertainment center, widescreen if possible. Diminsions for the opening are 30" Height, 32" Width, 15" Depth, plus a 5" overhang on the bottom with no side interference, which is the top of a cabinet. . Our furthest seat from our television is 11' away. Any information you can give us would be extremely appreciated, right now we just have a standard television which is approximately 5 yrs old. It is still good but just doesnt fit the hole in our entertainment center so we would like to replace it.The research we have done made us think a DLP was the best to get, but I do not believe we can get it in the size that we have for an opening. We would of course like to know the best store or website to get a great deal and are not concerned with it being any name brand, our budget is preferrably under $1000 but we can search through any info ya'll can give. Well judging by the size of the opening, you will be left with flat panel lcd as your only option. You can fit most any 32 inch model in that opening. Your best to purchase these sets at a retail electronics store because buying online can be tricky because you dont know the condition of the unit, there are usually high shipping costs and often manufactuers wont cover most websites because they are not authorized to sell their products. You can easily get a set that fits in your budget even from a reputable name brand. You can get a 32 HD LCD from Toshiba such as the 32hl67 for around 850 dollars on sale or a unit from Panasonic such as the TC32LX70 for around 900 on sale. This avoids the problems of some of the off brand, third tier sets that often break down right after their warranties run out and are very hard to find parts to fix. Your best bet is to wait for a sale at a place like Best Buy or Circuit City or another local electronics retailer and you will have no trouble finding a set to fit your needs within your budget.
