im redecorating my room and want to make a d.i.y headboard thats mounted to the wall. what do i need? how do i do it? thanks!

First you will need a piece of plywood or chipboard. If you have an old shelf or an old door, you can use that. If you want it covered in fabric, buy some batting material. Cover the piece of wood with the batting using a staple gun. Now cover the batting with whatever material you want, also using a staple gun. You can hang the headboard on the wall using a slotted hanger type piece. One piece gets screwed into the wall and one into the headboard, and it slips into the slot. I use 2 of these on a bigger headboard. You can use how much batting you want according to how thick you want it. You can get creative, use buttons if you want, etc. This is an easy project that looks great when finished.
